Vaginosis, better known as bacterial vaginosis, is caused by changes in the kinds of bacteria living in a woman's vagina. Bacterial vaginosis (BV) was formerly known as Gardnerella vaginitis but is rarely called that anymore. However, more and more women are reporting some sort of hair thinning or hair loss than ever before. There are many factors that can actually impact how hair grows, if it grows at all. The factors that are known to play a part in hair loss are; Genetics, Hormones, Medications or Drugs, the Environment, and Nutritional Deficiencies. Also, hair styles, perms, highlights, hot oil treatments, or poor hygiene can even play a significant role in excessive hair thinning or hair loss.

First are the aspects that cause damage to hair follicles. The several factors contributing to damage and possible hair loss include hair styles, perms, hot oil treatments, highlights, poor hygiene, and plenty of others. Every one of dynamics can ruin your hair and may also cause your hair to be permanently damaged. Hot oil treatments may be great for helping dry hair and scalp, but it can eventually cause the hair follicle to become inflamed and cause scarring. This scarring will actually lead to permanent hair loss. Though piggy tails look cute on children they are pulling the hair too tight which can cause hair loss. Basically the scalp becomes scarred and the hair follicles are damaged to the point where no hair will ever grow again.

Myth #1: Only men suffer from hair loss.

Many of us seem to think that only men suffer from the problem of hair loss. Recent hair loss information reveals however, that women are about just as likely to have the condition. The reason why we do not often hear about hair loss information for women is that the condition itself is not yet entirely socially acceptable. We seem to have this idea that a woman should always have full locks of hair.

Another reason why female hair loss is overlooked is because women do not obviously manifest hair loss as much as men do. Hair loss information and observation will reveal that a lot of men eventually end up with bald tops. Women however usually suffer only from diffuse thinning or hair loss.

They don't completely go bald unless their hair loss conditions are due to causes other than genes and hormones.

Medicines - do they too at times cause Yeast Infections?

Antibiotics are incapable of identifying helpful bacteria from the harmful ones. If you are down with a bacterial infection, antibiotics will sweep your system clean of all infections but in the process might clean out helpful bacteria too. This disruption of internal ecosystem in most cases lead to vaginal yeast infections.

But why blame antibiotics only? Steroids, more so when they are ingested for longer durations, can also trigger yeast infections.

Patients often face, as they say, the dilemma of choosing between a rock and a hard place. Medicines are imperative to cure an ailment but prolonged usage of medication causes another disease to sneak in.

Cancer patients, on the edge as they already are, have to undergo chemotherapy to get rid of cancerous cells. But the therapy steamrolls healthy cells too and as a bonus of sorts "gifts" yeast infection to the patient who is already struggling with other serious side effects of the dreaded therapy as hair loss and vomiting.
