On Monday, November 26, First Lady Melania Trump unveiled this year’s Christmas theme, “American Treasures.” The 2018 White House theme honors the unique heritage of America, exhibiting the many splendors found across our great Nation. Patriotism takes the main stage in the Grand Foyer and Cross Hall with over 14,000 red ornaments hanging from the tress. The color red echoes the stripes found in the Presidential Seal designed by our Founding Fathers—a symbol of bravery and fearlessness.
The White House has released the official Christmas portrait of the president and first lady, who are posing in nearly the same spot they stood for last year’s holiday picture.
“Merry Christmas from President Donald J. Trump and First Lady Melania Trump,” said a tweet from the first lady’s social media account.
